Volunteer
Be the power behind the Columbus Arts Festival! On-site volunteers are indispensable to the success of our event. Each year, the Festival comes to life through the cooperation of Greater Columbus Arts Council staff, Coordinating Committee members and an expansive corps of more than 400 on-site volunteers.
Whether you’re interested in lending a hand Arts Festival weekend or committing to planning the Arts Festival year-round, your help is invaluable to us!
volunteer festival weekend
Energetic, friendly volunteers are needed for various tasks, such as monitoring artist booths, assisting in hands-on art activities, helping backstage and more. Even just a few hours makes a big difference!
If you have a question related to volunteering for the weekend of the Columbus Arts Festival, contact the Volunteers Committee at volunteers@columbusartsfestcommittee.org.
volunteer year-round
A core group of dedicated individuals called the Coordinating Committee is responsible for pre-Festival planning and day-to-day onsite operations. The Committee is made up of 14 Sub-Committees, each responsible for specific functions within the Festival.
The majority of Coordinating Committee involvement occurs between January and June in preparation of that year’s Arts Festival. However, some specific roles may be called upon earlier in the planning season to discuss items further in advance. Generally we ask that Coordinating Committee members are able to commit at least five hours per month to volunteering for the Arts Festival.
All volunteers will receive:
