Columbus, Ohio—Join the Greater Columbus Arts Council and enjoy a variety of music and community performances at the 2013 Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable, June 7, 8 and 9 at the Downtown Riverfront.
More than 20 bands will take the main stage in Bicentennial Park located along the Scioto Mile in the central district of downtown surrounded by breathtaking water features and two stunning new bridges.
This year’s ColumbusArts.com Bicentennial Stage will feature live performances throughout the day by popular local and national acts including a special performance by longtime Columbus favorite, Watershed, joining us as the headliner on Saturday, June 8 at 9 p.m. – your only chance to see them perform in 2013! After a successful whirlwind of gigs at SXSW in March, hip-hop trio, Fly Union, will take the stage on Friday, June 7 at 5:15 p.m. The Dublin Taiko Drummers will also perform on Friday, sharing a modern Japanese style of drumming at 7:45 p.m. Emerging young rockers, Hollywood Red and LVX will rock the stage starting at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. Other music in this year’s lineup includes everything from the Brazilian-inspired jazz of singer, Maggie Green, to country band, The 3 C Drifters and the soulful reggae sounds of The Pinstripes. There’s something for everyone in this year’s line up!
The FlyColumbus.com Community Stage will bring back multi-disciplinary performances to the Festival and will feature community and professional organizations ranging from the high impact dance, spoken word and music-infused performances of TRANSIT ARTS, to the Columbus Youth Ballet, to performances by a few of the winning songwriter/musicians from the 200Columbus Celebrate Columbus in Song contest last year.
Festival Hours: Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
