COLUMBUS, Ohio – Performance applications for musicians, and theatre and dance troupes are now available for the Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable, which will take place June 7, 8 and 9, 2013 along the Scioto Mile at the beautiful Downtown Riverfront.
The Columbus Arts Festival, produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, will celebrate its 52nd year of bringing the best in fine art and fine craft to Columbus. The Festival hosts hundreds of juried artists from across the United States including local emerging artists and a few international artists each year. Gourmet food and beverages, hands-on art activities for the entire family, exhibitions of local student artwork, live music and spoken word performances round out Columbus’ favorite outdoor summer event.
The Festival is currently accepting applications for musical performers to fill dozens of performance slots on the ColumbusArts.com Bicentennial and FlyColumbus.com Community Stages throughout the three-day event. The Bicentennial Stage is a large outdoor pavilion in Bicentennial Park. The Community Stage is a 16’ x 24’ temporary stage located near COSI which is best suited for solo artists, trios, quartets and dancers and theatre troupes. Strolling performers will perform in designated areas throughout the Festival site.
“Columbus is a city with a great passion for music, theatre and dance and boasts a long history of world-class performing artists,” said Scott Huntley, Festival director. “The Columbus Arts Festival is proud to present some of the best of our vibrant and diverse music and performance scene.”
