Jazz Pianist Aaron Diehl to Perform with ProMusica Chamber Orchestra at the Columbus Arts Festival, June 12

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Arts Festival, presented by the American Electric Power Foundation, will welcome classically trained jazz pianist, composer and Columbus native Aaron Diehl for a special free concert with ProMusica Chamber Orchestra on Friday, June 12 on the ABC6 Bicentennial Park Stage at 8:30 p.m.
Diehl is a graduate of Juilliard who has made an indelible mark on the jazz world over the last 15 years. He has collaborated with living masters ranging from jazz greats Wynton Marsalis and Benny Golson to 20th-century classical titan Philip Glass, and has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Minnesota Orchestra.
The evening of Saturday, June 13, the festival will also welcome Brooklyn-based Bear Hands and Edinburgh, Scotland’s We Were Promised Jetpacks for a free performance on the ABC6 Bicentennial Park Stage, in partnership with CD102.5. The performances are supported by Huntington and Worthington Industries.
Festival Hours: Friday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; and Sunday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Please note: on Friday and Saturday artist booths close at 9 p.m.; artists have the option to stay open later.)
