COLUMBUS, Ohio –The Columbus Arts Festival is looking for energetic, fun-loving individuals to join their corps of volunteers for the 2015 festival June 12-14.
Produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council (Arts Council), the Columbus Arts Festival kicks off summer with a weekend event that includes more than 300 artists selling work; performances in music, theater, dance, and spoken word; more than 40 food and drink vendors; and hands-on art activities and demonstrations.
In order to create this spectacular event for more than 450,000 people, the Arts Council recruits hundres of volunteers to join their team.
Volunteers do everything from help with the hands-on art activities to staffing artists’ booths while they take a short break, to being a stagehand. With a commitment of just a few hours, volunteers can be part of the annual event, receive a T-shirt to commemorate the experience, and for each shift volunteers are entered into a raffle to win a prize—the more worked shifts, the more chances to win.
