COLUMBUS, Ohio – The nationally acclaimed Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable will accept online visual artist applications starting this Friday, October 12. The 52nd annual festival will take place June 7, 8 & 9, 2013 at the beautifully revitalized Downtown Riverfront.
Applications are accepted in 16 categories of media. Artists are chosen by a panel of experts in a blind jury process. Each year more than 1,000 artists apply for approximately 240 booth spaces.
Local artists also are encouraged to apply to the Festival’s Emerging Artist program, designed specifically for artists with extremely limited or no experience exhibiting and selling their artwork at national arts festivals. This program is open to emerging artists in Franklin and surrounding counties.
Each June, the Columbus Arts Festival, produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, brings the best in fine art and fine craft to Columbus. The Festival hosts hundreds of juried artists from across the United States, as well as a few international artists each year. Music, poetry and community artists and performances, hands-on arts activities for the entire family, exhibitions of local student artwork and quality food and beverages round out Columbus’ favorite outdoor summer event.
