Columbus artists join under one roof to bring their local flair to the Festival
Columbus, Ohio – At the 2013 Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable and produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, June 7, 8 & 9, the place to find homegrown art is at the Big Local Art Tent, located in the Huntington Local Arts Pavilion.
Creative groups from all over the capital city will come together to build a place to see, experience and purchase incredible art all Festival weekend—all under one big lofted tent. Art lovers of all ages will enjoy a wide array of art and crafts for sale in the large art gallery. Local artists will display their work for sale, constantly mixing it up with new daily arrivals. Expect to see paintings, illustration, sculpture, jewelry, glassware, ceramics and more.
For festival-goers who like to get their hands dirty, members of local arts collectives will lead a number of make and take projects! Participants will walk away with a new-found skill as well as an original creation. You’ll also enjoy some live art demonstrations.
Come and meet local artists from these participating groups and collectives: 400 West Rich, Cap City Creatives, Art Party Columbus, Columbus Crafty Cotillion, Columbus Idea Foundry, Creative Arts of Women, CS Gallery, Etsy Team Columbus, Ohio Art League and Rivet Gallery. Open during all Festival hours.
Festival Hours: Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
