COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Arts Festival, presented by the American Electric Power Foundation June 9-11, is once again offering its popular Patron Package, which includes tickets to its long-running Patron Party, sponsored by J.P. Morgan Chase.
The Patron Party takes place the opening night of the Festival, and this year it has a new location: the newly completed The Junto on the Scioto Peninsula (77 Belle St.). Guests who have purchased the Patron Package are invited for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live performances on Friday, June 9 from 5:30-8 p.m.
The Patron Package includes a ticket to the Friday night Patron Party, access to exclusive VIP hospitality areas at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center, VIP seating at Genoa Park Stage, free water at beverage stations, a private cash bar, private air-conditioned restrooms, free Festival T-shirt and other amenities. Packages are priced at $150 per person.
Proceeds from Patron Package sales support the Arts Festival’s Artist Awards, also supported in part by White Castle. At the start of the Festival, the Festival jury reviews each exhibiting artist’s booth. Winners are notified Saturday morning before the Festival opens. Awards are given in 12 different categories; winners receive cash awards ranging from $1,000 to $4,000. Awards for exhibiting artists are an important part of the Columbus Arts Festival’s commitment to artists and the Festival’s national reputation.
