COLUMBUS, Ohio – Applications to volunteer at the 2012 Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable, June 1, 2 & 3 along the Downtown Riverfront are now available.
The Greater Columbus Arts Council seeks volunteers to assist with a variety of duties for this year’s Festival. Applications are being accepted for the following volunteer positions:
To apply, go to www.columbusartsfestival.org/get-involved/volunteer.php. Each shift involves a four-hour commitment. Each volunteer receives an event T-shirt and is registered for a raffle prize with each shift.
“Volunteering at the Columbus Arts Festival is a fun way to meet new people and give back to your community,” said Scott Huntley, Festival director. “And you get to enjoy beautiful art, great music and food and the friendly people of Columbus!”
Recognized as one of the top arts festivals in the country, the Columbus Arts Festival is a juried show, with more than 1,000 artists competing for approximately 240 booth spaces. Continuous entertainment, interactive art activities and great food from area restaurants are also featured. The Columbus Arts Festival is one of city’s largest and most successful events, attracting approximately 300,000 attendees.
Festival Hours: Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
