COLUMBUS, Ohio — The nationally acclaimed Columbus Arts Festival is now accepting performing artist applications in music, dance and theatre. The 55th annual festival will take place June 10, 11 and 12, 2016 along the Columbus downtown riverfront.
The Festival hosts hundreds of juried artists from across the United States including local emerging artists and a few international artists each year. Gourmet food and beverages, hands-on art activities for the entire family, live music, spoken word, dance and more round out Columbus’ favorite outdoor, welcome-to-summer event. Approximately 450,000 visitors attend the Festival each year.
The Festival is currently accepting applications for performers to fill dozens of slots on the ABC6 Main Stage, Dance Stage, Sharkey’s Jazz & Blues Club, Festival Acoustic Lounge, Franklinton Theatre Stage and several other venues at the festival during the three-day event. Strolling performers will perform throughout the Festival site.
“Columbus is a city with a nationally acclaimed music scene, and a tremendous passion for theatre and dance and boasts a long history of world-class performing artists,” said Scott Huntley, Festival director. “The Columbus Arts Festival is proud to present some of the best that our city has to offer.”
