COLUMBUS, Ohio – Performance applications for musicians, theatre and dance troupes are now available for the Columbus Arts Festival, which will take place June 6, 7 and 8, 2014 along the Scioto Mile at the beautiful Downtown Riverfront.

The Columbus Arts Festival, produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, will celebrate its 53rd year of bringing the best in fine art and fine craft to Columbus. The Festival hosts hundreds of juried artists from across the United States including local emerging artists and a few international artists each year. Gourmet food and beverages, hands-on art activities for the entire family, live music, spoken word and more round out Columbus’ favorite outdoor, kick-off to summer event.  Approximately 450,000 visitors attend the Festival each year.

The Festival is currently accepting applications for musical performers to fill dozens of performance slots on the Bicentennial and Community Stages throughout the three-day event.

The Bicentennial Stage is a large outdoor pavilion in Bicentennial Park. The Community Stage is a 16’ x 24’ stage located near COSI and is best suited for solo artists, trios, quartets and dancers and theatre troupes. Strolling performers will perform in designated areas throughout the Festival site.

“Columbus is a city with a tremendous passion for music, theatre and dance and boasts a long history of world-class performing artists,” said Scott Huntley, Festival director.  “The Columbus Arts Festival is proud to present some of the best that our vibrant and diverse performing arts scene has to offer.”
