McCoy has three platinum albums, one gold, and 25 charted singles. He was inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in 2009 and has twice been recognized as Entertainer of the Year (TNN/Music City News). He has performed on 15 USO tours since 2001 and together, with his wife, Melinda, founded the East Texas Angel Network (ETAN), to provide financial assistance to families with children suffering from serious illnesses.
