COLUMBUS, Ohio— The Columbus Arts Festival is looking for energetic, fun-loving individuals to join their corps of volunteers for the 2016 festival June 10-12.
Produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Columbus Arts Festival kicks off summer with a weekend event that includes more than 300 artists selling work; performances in music, theater, dance and spoken word; more than 40 food and drink vendors; and hands-on art activities and demonstrations.
In order to create this spectacular event for more than 450,000 people, the Arts Council recruits hundreds of volunteers to join their team.
Volunteers do everything from help with the hands-on art activities, to staffing artists’ booths while they take a short break, to being a stagehand. With a commitment of just a few hours, volunteers can be part of the annual event, receive a T-shirt to commemorate the experience and for each shift volunteers are entered into a raffle to win a prize—the more worked shifts, the more chances to win.
Visit the Columbus Arts Festival website to see a full list of volunteer opportunities and apply to join the festival team: https://columbusartsfestival.org/new-volunteer-signup-page/.
Festival Hours: Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11 from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
