For Kids & Families

The Columbus Arts Festival, presented by Time Warner Cable brings the best in fine art and fine craft to Columbus, June 1, 2 & 3, 2012. To celebrate our move back to our home at the revitalized Riverfront, we’re creating a BIG festival experience—diverse, inclusive and creative with an emphasis on engaging a broader spectrum of the community.

Here are some of the fun and exciting activities happening all weekend that kids and families will enjoy:

Hands On Art Activities Area

Throwing clay pots, making glass beads, or creating a journal to jot down your creative ideas - you and your family can do all that and more at the Columbus Arts Festival.  Hands-on art activities for adults and kids offer opportunities for all ages to try their hand in the creative process. The Hands On Art Activities Area will be located at Rich and Civic Center from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Children's Gallery

Located in the Hands On Art Activities Area on Saturday and Sunday, don't miss the Children's Gallery, where children 12 and under can purchase original artwork donated by Festival artists for $5 or less.

Children's Theatre

Johnny Appleseed comes to life with a performance by the Grass Patch Performers, local actors ages 4-12.  Park your chair for this special treat from central Ohio's Dramatic Impact with Candace Mazur-Darman
